Modern Calligraphy at Biltmore Bar & Grille

My March 2nd class at the Biltmore Bar & Grille was an extra special one for me. Not only was it SOLD OUT, but among the attendees were 2 of my closest friends!

My childhood bestie, Chelsea, was visiting - we have a tradition of watching the Oscars together if we are able to. Having her there to help me made me want to hire an assistant for ALL my events! Chelsea and I grew up doing theater together, although she was always a lead and I always was more comfortable being in the chorus. I was a shy kid who had stage fright and would never attempt any sort of public speaking to a group of ANY size so it’s fun for me to show her how comfortable I am now! 

Also in attendance was my good friend of over 20 years, Carolyn. She is a Sip & Script VIP - she was the one who introduced me to one of her good friends, Sip & Script co-founder Julie, and was a student in my first ever practice class in 2022. I was so nervous teaching that first class, even though it was at my home, to several of my friends! Having her in this class, with a few years of experience behind me, made me realize just how much I’ve grown!

Of course, just like any good friends, I don’t have ANY recent photos with either one of them. So how thrilled was I that Carolyn brought her sister and sister-law, who took photos of us (those first 2 photos were taken by her)!

Since it was Oscar Sunday and the Biltmore’s decor is very art deco, I leaned into that old Hollywood vibe when I was putting together the look of this class. And naturally my outfit was very Liza with a Z!

My next class at Biltmore is Sunday, April 13th and it’s going to be all about SPRING! Plus, in my big Italian family, we host Easter so I’ll be sure to share all the table decor tips and tricks. Check out the link below for my upcoming workshop schedule!
