things to consider as we start the design process:
formality is it a casual beach wedding or a black tie affair at a country club? the general feel of the wedding should be refected.
colors/themes do you want your invitations to feature a flower from your bouquet, the colors of the bridesmaid dresses, reflect the reception or ceremony site, or include a monogram or some other motif, etc...
quantities usually you will need one per couple/household plus some extra. i would recommend ordering an extra 10-20% outer envelopes.
budget pricing varies based on quantities, complexity of the design, ink colors, calligraphy.
wording

invitation envelope return address (typically the host's)
response card & envelope respond by date, optional info such as dinner choices, # attending, response for brunch and/or rehearsal, food allergies, etc... return address response envelopes
reception card location, if not included on the invitation
optional items directions, accommodations, transportation, "things to do"
